SHARE 1.0 ranks datasets using its legacy score and separately displays repository activity indicators. Select SHARE 2.0 to view its deposit-time-only score release.
Ranking Algorithm Components:
- SHARE Score (60% weight): metadata completeness across the legacy buckets.
- Reuse Indicator (30% weight): repository views, downloads, and citations.
- Freshness Factor (10% weight): a slight boost for recently published datasets.

Normalization: Reuse metrics are normalized within each repository to account for platform-specific traffic patterns. A dataset with 1,000 downloads on Dryad represents different relative performance than 1,000 downloads on Zenodo.
